• Michael Jackson was the eighth child out of ten in his family.
• He was born to an African-American family.
• His mother was a Clarinet and Piano player and father was a Guitarist in local band.
• His father used to whip Michael regularly during rehearsals of Band and used to punish severely even for a small mistake. This was the reason Michael felt lonely in his childhood.
• In his young age, Michael joined Jackson Brothers Band which was formed by his father and his siblings as a backup musician and vocalist.
• In his young age, Michael Jackson performed dance at local auditoriums and high schools.
• His solo albums became topmost in US. Some of his famous songs are, "Don't stop till you get Enough", "Beat It","Billie Jean".
• At the age of just 21 years, he received three American Music Awards.
• At his 25 years of age, his song THRILLER won eight Annual Grammy awards.
• Had been suffered with severe skin problems and undergone several cosmetic surgeries to curb the rumors regarding his health.

• In 1984 , during a simulated concert before a full house of fans, pyrotechnics accidentally set Jackson's hair on fire, causing second-degree burns to his scalp. Jackson underwent treatment to hide the scars and had his third Plastic surgery shortly thereafter.
• On May 14, 1984, Jackson received a Presidential award for his support of alcohol and drug abuse charities.
• His charitable work continued with the release of "We Are the World" (1985), which raised money for the poor in the US and Africa. It earned $63 million, and became one of the best-selling singles of all time. It won four Grammys for 1985, including Song of the Year for Jackson.
• From mid 1980s, Michael's skin grew even paler and caused white patches on body. His skin gradually became sensitive to sunlight.
• Jackson became friends with his dermatologist Arnold Klein and Klein's nurse Debbie Rowe. Rowe later became Jackson's second wife and the mother of his first two children.
• He said he lost weight in the early 1980s because of a change in diet to achieve a dancer's body. Witnesses reported that he was often dizzy, and speculated he was suffering from anorexia nervosa. 
• Periods of weight loss became a recurring problem later in his life.
• In 1988, after his successful album BAD, Jackson released his auto-biography named "Moonwalk", which sold out 200,000 copies.
• In his biography, Jackson discussed his childhood, the Jackson 5, and the abuse from his father. He attributed his changing facial appearance to three plastic surgeries, puberty, weight loss, a strict vegetarian diet, a change in hairstyle, and stage lighting.

• From 1985 to 1990, Jackson donated $455,000 to the United Negro College Fund, and all profits from his single "Man in the Mirror" went to charity.
• Jackson visited Africa in early 1992 where he was greeted by more than 100,000 people, some of them carrying signs that read "Welcome Home Michael".
• In late 1995, Jackson was admitted to a hospital after collapsing during rehearsals for a televised performance, caused by a stress-related panic attack.
• Jackson had taken propofol, lorazepam, and midazolam. His death was caused by a propofol overdose. 
• News of his death spread quickly online, causing websites to slow down and crash from user overload, and putting unprecedented strain on services and websites including Google.
